Dozens of the residents of Bani Hashim region of Kahlaa district, west of Maysan demonstrated against the scarcity of water that drought the marshes.

A number of the protestors said to the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that “the scarcity of marshes caused death to their animals in the region and also caused the immigrant of the people of the region as a result of the drought, calling to find urgent solutions to this problem.

The protestors blocked al-Ma’yal Bridge that leads to the Chinese Company, confirming their continuation in their protest until their demands met.
