A joint security operation launched in Diyala from two axes

Baghdad, The Popular Mobilization Commission announced the launch of a security operation from two axes, with the participation of the security forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces in Diyala.

The commander of the Diyala operations of the Popular Mobilization, Talib al-Musawi, said in a statement, “A joint security operation was launched by the security forces and the Popular Mobilization in Diyala,” noting that “the operation was launched from two axes , the first is the line of isolation and encirclement and starts from the northern bank of the Diyala River, specifically from the village of Al-Rasool and ending with the village of Al-Washa’ to inspect the forests and orchards adjacent to the northern edge of the Diyala River, with the participation of forces from the brigades (23, 110, 63 and 24).

Al-Musawi added, “The second axis is the line of isolation and encirclement, which starts from the north of the Khalis River project, from the village of Abu Nimr, passing through the villages of Al-Koti and the village of Al-Jayalah , with the participation of the Middle Euphrates Operations Command, the 11th Brigade, and a force from the 10th Brigade, the Rafidain Operations Command, the 4th Brigade, and the Commando Regiment in the Diyala Operations Command for the popular mobilization.”

He pointed out that “the security operation aims to pursue the remnants of the terrorist ISIS and control the infiltration routes of terrorist elements in order to preserve the stability and security of citizens within the sector of responsibility.”
