A Kurdish MP: There Is No Decision To Hold A Session Of The House of Representatives Outside Baghdad

Baghdad Kurdistan Democratic Party MP, Najwa Hamid confirmed that there is no decision to hold a session of the House of Representatives outside Baghdad or any other place.

Hamid said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): “There are no discussions between the political blocs to hold a session of the House of Representatives in the current period, and waiting for a solution to the political blockage before proceeding with that.”

She explained that: “Until now, there has been no agreement between the Kurdish parties on a single person for the position of President of the Republic,” noting that “there are discussions between the parties in this regard, and a consensus could occur at any moment.
