A Large Official Delegation Accompanies Erdogan On His Visit To Iraq


Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan headed Monday morning to the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, on an official visit, his first since 2011.

Erdogan is accompanied on his visit to Iraq by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Defense Yasar Guler, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, Trade Omar Bolat, Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu, Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim Yumakli, Energy and Natural Resources Alp Arslan Bayraktar, and Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Cajer.

President Erdogan is also accompanied by the head of the Turkish Presidency’s Communications Department, Fahrettin Altun, and the President’s Advisor for Foreign and Security Policies, Akif Chagatay Kilic.

During his one-day visit, President Erdogan will meet with his Iraqi counterpart, Abdul Latif Rashid, and Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani in the capital, Baghdad.

Erdogan is scheduled to hold a press conference with the Iraqi Prime Minister, and then they will sign a series of bilateral agreements between t
he two countries.

After completing his meetings in the capital, Baghdad, Erdogan, accompanied by his delegation, will head to the city of Erbil.
