Anbar: The Military Intelligence Directorate announced today the seizure of narcotic substances in Anbar Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Military Intelligence Directorate revealed that with intensive efforts and intelligence information from a source affiliated with the Directorate, a large bag containing a substantial quantity of narcotic pills was confirmed.

The statement further indicated that in light of the information received, Military Intelligence detachments from the Intelligence and Security Department of the Fifth Infantry Division began investigating, leading to the discovery of a bag containing a significant amount of narcotic pills in the Al-Shihayat area of Anbar Governorate.

Moreover, the statement added that the substances were duly seized and handed over to the relevant authorities for necessary action, in accordance with legal regulations.
