A Powerful Earthquake 6.7 Magnitude Strikes the Philippines


Manila: A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 struck the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines, as announced by the US Geological Survey. The earthquake occurred at a depth of about 11 kilometers, raising concerns among residents and officials.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center stated that there was no tsunami threat following the earthquake. Local authorities have reported that there were no immediate reports of casualties or major damage. However, emergency teams have started inspecting buildings and infrastructure in Cebu City and neighboring provinces as a precautionary measure.
