The delegation discussed with Plasschaert the developments in the political and electoral scene. The head of the Iraqi Turkmen Front, Hassan Turan, praised the role of the UN mission in converging the views of the partners in the political process and its supervisory contribution to the electoral process.

Turan stressed the necessity of conducting the procedures in a transparent atmosphere that guarantees the victory of the candidate who deserves to ascend to Parliament with the votes of the voters, and not to allow the appeasement of the losing blocs to occur, stressing the necessity of conducting the manual counting and sorting process for all Iraqi stations, to ensure the transparency and integrity of the election results.
