Baqubah: Police rescued a young woman who attempted suicide by throwing herself from the iron bridge in central Baqubah, the capital of Diyala Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Police Command stated in a statement: "River police detachments were able to rescue the young woman from the river and transport her to the hospital to ensure her safety. She was then handed over to her family."

The Police Command called on families to follow up on their sons, listen to their problems, and work to resolve them with a spirit of love and understanding, to prevent some young people from resorting to harmful behaviors such as suicide. The police Command affirmed its constant commitment to protecting lives and promoting the values of family and community solidarity.
