Damascus: Mazloum Abdi, head of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), has announced the dissolution of the SDF along with the Kurdish self-administration and all affiliated military and civilian formations, marking their full integration into Syrian state institutions.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Abdi made this announcement through a press release, emphasizing a shift towards a new phase for Syria. He stated, “Circumstances have changed, and the country has entered a new phase characterized by peace and the building of a new Syria.”

Abdi further explained that this strategic decision was made following an agreement with President al-Sharaa, culminating in the integration of the forces into the brigades of the Syrian army. This move is seen as a significant step towards national unity and stability within the region.
