Abu Obeida Calls for Defense of Al-Aqsa to Challenge Israeli Power

Abu Obeida: The military Spokesman for the Qassam Brigades called on all “the free men of the nation to engage in the battle to defend Al-Aqsa and to continue supporting Gaza to break the power of Israel and force it to stop its aggression.” In a speech on Thursday evening, Abu Obeida said, “We salute our sincere brothers in Yemen for their honorable stance and direct support for their people in Gaza, despite the heavy price they are paying for their loyalty to Al-Aqsa and Palestine.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Abu Obeida highlighted that Yemen’s missiles intersected with Gaza’s missiles in the skies over Tel Aviv today, confirming that Gaza is not alone and that behind it are free men from the nation who will not surrender it to its arrogant enemies. The Al-Qassam Brigades announced on Thursday that it had bombarded the heart of Tel Aviv, central Israel, with a barrage of M90 rockets in response to the “Zionist massacres against civilians.”

Israel’s Channel 12 reported that the Iron Dome intercepted two rockets from Gaza toward Tel Aviv, and that debris from the intercepted rockets fell in the city of Rishon LeZion, south of Tel Aviv. Meanwhile, the Israeli army announced that its forces had launched a ground operation in the northern Gaza Strip, with airstrikes continuing throughout the Strip.

Israel resumed its military operations against the Gaza Strip at dawn on Tuesday, ending a fragile truce that had lasted for about two months, which began in January 2025 with Egyptian, Qatari, and American mediation. Israel carried out a series of intensive airstrikes and artillery shelling on several areas in the Strip.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the Israeli bombardment resulted in the deaths and injuries of more than 1,000 people, amid Arab and international condemnation of this attack, which violated the ceasefire in the Strip.
