Acting Minister of Education Approves Additional Marks for Graduating Students


Baghdad: The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced today that Acting Minister Abdul Hussein Al-Moussawi has approved the allocation of up to five additional marks for graduating students. This initiative aims to address specific challenges faced by these students in their final year.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Scientific Research Affairs, Haider Abdul Dhamad, clarified in a press release that this measure will be applicable for the 2025/2026 academic year across all public and private universities and colleges. The decision is part of the Ministry’s efforts to support students and accommodate exceptional circumstances by adhering to the established ministerial regulations and instructions.
