AFCON-2023: Four Moroccan Players in Group Stage Best X

Four Moroccan players have been named in the group stage best XI of the 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations, according to the Confederation of African Football (CAF). With four players, the national team is the most represented in this eleven. In defense, Nayef Aguerd and Achraf Hakimi are alongside Kalidou Koulibaly (Senegal) and Arthur Masuaku (DRC). The midfield is made up of Sofyan Amrabat and Azzedine Ounahi, with Lamine Camara (Senegal). After Morocco, Senegal is represented by three players, Equatorial Guinea (two), Angola, and the DRC, each with one player. Morocco finished first in its group with 7 points, ahead of DR Congo, Zambia, and Tanzania. In the Round of 16, the Atlas Lions will face South Africa next Tuesday (09:00pm GMT+1) in San Pedro.
