Baghdad: River police recovered the body of a young man who drowned in the Tigris River in Jadida al-Shat district of Diyala Governorate. A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the young man, a resident of Baghdad, went missing during a tourist trip to a farm in Jadida al-Shat district, southwest of Baquba, after falling into the Tigris River ten days ago. The source explained that the body was found in the Tigris River in al-Kray'at area of Baghdad after a search operation that lasted for several days.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the river police recovered the young man's body, which was found with his identification and mobile phone. The body was transferred to the forensic medicine department for the necessary legal procedures.
