Baghdad: Head of Al-Nasr Coalition, Haider al-Abadi, met with the French Ambassador to Iraq, Patrick Durel, at his office in Baghdad to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from al-Abadi’s office indicated that the meeting addressed the situation in Iraq and the region, the challenges facing security and stability, and emphasized the importance of coordinating joint efforts to promote mutual interests.

The French Ambassador expressed his country’s interest in strengthening its relations with Iraq and supporting efforts to achieve stability and development, affirming France’s continued support for Iraq in its political and economic endeavors.
