Baghdad Former Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani, discussed the situation in Iraq and preparations for the upcoming elections.

Al-Abadi’s media office stated that during the meeting in Erbil province, today, Al-Abadi and Barzani offered their deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs in the tragedy of Al-Hussein Hospital in Nasiriyah.”

He added that the meeting witnessed a discussion of the overall situation the country is witnessing, unifying efforts to serve the citizens, in addition to the elections file and the importance of holding them on the scheduled date on October 10, 2021 in an atmosphere of justice and transparency and rejecting any pressure exerted on the voter.
