Baghdad: Badr Organization Secretary-General Hadi al-Amiri met with Mohammed al-Halbousi, head of the Taqaddum Party, to discuss the various political proposals regarding the formation of the government.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Amiri’s media office released a statement indicating that the meeting took place at al-Amiri’s office in Baghdad on Saturday. During their discussions, both leaders explored developments in the local political landscape, reviewed ongoing consultations, and examined the various proposals circulating among political forces concerning the formation of the new government. They also assessed the progress made in fulfilling constitutional requirements.

The statement further highlighted that there was an emphasis on the importance of unifying efforts and strengthening joint action to support the stability of the political process and to meet the aspirations of the citizens.
