Al-Amiri Asserts Iraq Has Moved Beyond Sectarian Divisions

Baghdad: Secretary-General of the Badr Organization, Hadi Al-Amiri, emphasized that Iraq has significantly evolved since 2014 and has successfully transcended the sectarian conflicts that once plagued the nation.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Amiri commented on the regional developments, particularly highlighting the significant events occurring in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria. He pointed out that these events have substantial repercussions for Iraq, stressing the importance of a stable Syria for Iraq’s interests. Al-Amiri expressed a desire for concrete actions rather than mere statements to ensure stability, noting the alarming situation in Syria’s coastal regions where violence cannot sustain control over the Syrian populace.

Al-Amiri also mentioned the current state of the Iraqi-Syrian borders, asserting that they are under complete control. With regard to the resistance in Gaza against the occupation, he stated that it cannot be quashed through force. Furthermore, Al-Amiri highlighted Iraq’s success in steering clear of perilous situations, maintaining that the country has adhered to its limits and has safeguarded itself from potential attacks.
