Al-Amiri Urges Immediate Action to Halt Airspace Violations in Iraq

Baghdad: The Secretary-General of the Badr Organization, Hadi al-Amiri, has issued a strong condemnation of the recent attacks targeting members of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), while calling for an immediate end to the violations of Iraqi airspace.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Amiri expressed grave concern over the repeated assaults, which he attributed to American and Zionist forces. He highlighted the latest attack on the 19th Brigade of the PMF, which resulted in numerous casualties. Al-Amiri described the attacks as a “heinous aggression” against Iraq’s loyal forces, emphasizing the need for urgent action by the Iraqi executive and legislative branches.

Al-Amiri implored Iraqi authorities to take decisive steps to halt the assaults on PMF members and to address the ongoing breaches of airspace. He pointed out that many of the aggressive operations are conducted from within Iraqi airspace, targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran. Al-Amiri criticized these acts as violations of international and humanitarian laws.

He further urged a reassessment of Iraq’s relationship with the United States, demanding respect for Iraq’s sovereignty and the protection of its citizens. Al-Amiri called on the Iraqi government to lodge a formal complaint with the United Nations Security Council, reflecting the severity of the crimes committed against Iraq by both American and Zionist forces.
