Al-Amiri Warns Against Regional Conflict Escalations

Baghdad: Secretary-General of the Badr Organization, Hadi al-Amiri, has issued a stern warning about the potential consequences of a war between Iran and the United States, emphasizing that regional unity is crucial to overcoming current challenges.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Amiri’s media office released a statement following his meeting with the sheikhs and dignitaries of Diyala Governorate at the headquarters of the Diyala Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces. Al-Amiri highlighted the stability and security enjoyed by Diyala Governorate as a result of the solidarity among its people and tribes. He remarked on past attempts by occupying forces to disrupt the social fabric through sectarian and ethnic tensions, and praised the community’s resilience as a model of peaceful coexistence.

In discussing broader regional issues, Al-Amiri warned that a conflict between Iran and the United States would not remain isolated but would engulf the entire region in turmoil. He reiterated the importance of national unity and political solidarity in navigating and overcoming these challenges.

Al-Amiri also addressed the Palestinian situation, describing it as perilous, with the people of Gaza facing severe hardships. He criticized ongoing Zionist aggression against Lebanon due to its support for Palestine and highlighted Yemen’s stance against American and British aggression as it stands in solidarity with Palestine. He cautioned that any military action against Iran would not be straightforward and would have far-reaching consequences for the region.
