Baghdad: National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji met today with former President Dr. Barham Salih to discuss the political and security situation in the country and the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Advisory highlighted that both parties emphasized the importance of preserving national unity and enhancing stability. They praised the efforts of the Iraqi government in consolidating security and stability, as well as in protecting national gains.

The meeting underscored the necessity of continuing constructive dialogue and prioritizing the country’s supreme interest. Both leaders agreed on the importance of overcoming current challenges and establishing the foundations of a strong and just state.
