Tehran: National Security Adviser Qassim Al-Araji held discussions with Major General Hussein Salami, Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, focusing on the joint security agreement between Iraq and Iran. The dialogue highlighted the critical need for border control and measures to prevent infiltration.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Araji’s meeting with Major General Salami was part of a series of official engagements involving senior security officials from both nations. These meetings aim to conduct a comprehensive review of bilateral relations, with a particular emphasis on the joint security agreement’s details.

The discussions underscored the importance of effective border management to enhance security collaboration between the two countries. Major General Salami expressed his appreciation towards both the federal and regional governments for their support in implementing the security agreement.
