Al-Araji and NATO Mission Commander Discuss Planned Projects in Consulting, Training, and Capacity Building for Security Services

Baghdad: National Security Advisor Qassim al-Araji discussed with the Commander of the NATO Mission in Iraq, Major General Lukas Schweizers, the planned projects in the fields of consulting, training, and capacity building for the security and intelligence services.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Advisory stated in a statement today: "Al-Araji met in his office today with the outgoing Major General Lukas Schweizers, in the presence of the new mission commander, Major General Christopher Henze."

It added: "During the meeting, the work of the NATO Mission in Iraq was reviewed during the past period, as well as the planned projects in the fields of consulting, training, and capacity building for the security and intelligence services."

Al-Araji pointed out that the Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, stressed the necessity of providing all support to the mission's work, to carry out its tasks to support the security and intelligence agencies, expressing full readiness to support the new commander in carrying out the mission's tasks.
