Baghdad: National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji met on Tuesday with the Ambassador of the Republic of Lebanon, Khalil Abdullah Muhammad, to discuss bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to strengthen them in a manner that serves their common interests.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, al-Araji emphasized the importance of regional unity and adopting dialogue and diplomacy as a fundamental approach to addressing challenges, thereby contributing to restoring calm, consolidating stability, and achieving peace and sustainable development.

For his part, the Lebanese Ambassador reiterated his country’s commitment to developing bilateral relations in a way that fulfills the aspirations and interests of the two brotherly peoples. He praised Iraq’s wise role in promoting regional stability through its balanced relations and its efforts to support the security and stability of the region and the world.
