Baghdad: National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Araji met with the Czech Republic’s Ambassador to Baghdad, Jan Shnedauf, to discuss enhancing Iraq’s relations with both regional and international communities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on reviewing the current state of bilateral relations and exploring ways to strengthen cooperation on issues of mutual interest. The Czech Ambassador commended the Iraqi government’s balanced stance on international matters and highlighted the effectiveness of Iraqi diplomacy in maintaining the country’s stability amidst regional conflicts. He emphasized Iraq’s status as a stable nation with a proficient security infrastructure.

The discussion also touched upon the issue of the Syrian Al-Hol camp, with the Czech Ambassador acknowledging Iraq’s significant efforts in repatriating Iraqi families from the camp and facilitating their rehabilitation and reintegration into society. Al-Araji reiterated Iraq’s dedication to fostering strong ties with its neighbors and the international community to achieve lasting peace and stability in the region.

Additionally, both parties underscored the urgent need to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and called for an end to the ongoing aggression in the area.
