Al-Araji Engages with Australian Official on Middle East Political and Security Matters


Baghdad: National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji received Innes Brown, the First Assistant Undersecretary for Middle East and North Africa Affairs at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in his office today. The meeting focused on recent political and security developments in the Middle East, with a particular emphasis on the US-Iranian negotiations and the ongoing situation in the Gaza Strip.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions underscored the necessity of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the importance of respecting human rights principles in accordance with international treaties and agreements. Al-Araji highlighted the efforts of the Iraqi government to facilitate dialogue and diplomatic solutions to resolve regional differences, aiming to bring various countries closer together through peaceful means.
