Baghdad: National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji affirmed that the International Coalition is a key partner for Iraq. The National Security Advisory stated in a press release that al-Araji met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Iraq, Antti Potkonen, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting underscored the need for the international community to dismantle al-Hol camp and other similar camps in northeastern Syria due to the presence of terrorist elements. The discussions also focused on eliminating the media, financial, and human resources that support terrorism to enhance regional security and stability.

Al-Araji reiterated the importance of the international coalition as a partner for Iraq. He emphasized the government's commitment to establishing balanced relations with all parties, including coalition countries, following the conclusion of Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq, in a way that aligns with Iraq's supreme interests.

Ambassador Potkonen expressed appreciation for the security and intelligence cooperation between Finland and Iraq. He also commended Iraq's efforts in the voluntary return, rehabilitation, and reintegration of families from al-Hol camp, highlighting the humanitarian significance of these initiatives.
