Baghdad: National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Araji chaired a meeting today with members of the National Committee for Combating Extremism, heads of subcommittees from various governorates, and officials from security and intelligence services.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on discussing security, societal, and judicial measures to counter extremist movements and deviant religious organizations that promote ideas alien to society. The discussions emphasized the impact of these movements on national security and stability.

The meeting resulted in a set of recommendations aimed at unifying efforts between institutions and society to address the risks associated with these extremist activities. These recommendations are intended to strengthen national security and maintain societal harmony.
