Baghdad: Deputy Speaker of Parliament Farhad al-Atroushi discussed with the Masir Organization for Combating Human Trafficking the holding of workshops and awareness campaigns to reduce this dangerous phenomenon.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Deputy Speaker's media spokesperson stated, "Al-Atroushi received today, Sunday, at his official office in Baghdad, a delegation that included the head and members of the Masir Organization for Combating Human Trafficking."

Al-Atroushi emphasized the Parliament's support for efforts aimed at combating human trafficking and the necessity of cooperation between parliamentary committees and relevant government agencies to reduce this dangerous phenomenon, as well as holding joint workshops and awareness and education campaigns.

For their part, the delegation expressed their gratitude to the Speaker of Parliament, stressing the importance of continued cooperation between the legislative body and civil society organizations to combat these crimes.
