Al-Atroushi Highlights Imam Ali’s Principles as Blueprint for Justice and Anti-Corruption


Baghdad: Deputy Speaker of Parliament Farhad al-Atroushi emphasized that “the approach of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in justice, equality, combating corruption, and preserving social peace is a fundamental path to building a just state.”



According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Atroushi, in a statement commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), highlighted the historical significance of Imam Ali. He referred to him as “the Gate of the City of Knowledge, the Leader of the Faithful, and the son-in-law of the Prophet,” noting his embodiment of courage, truth, and support for the oppressed. Imam Ali was depicted as a symbol of just rule and responsible leadership, whose life and martyrdom during prayer and worship continue to inspire.



Al-Atroushi elaborated on the profound meaning of commemorating Imam Ali’s martyrdom, particularly for Iraq, which hosts the shrine of Imam Hussein in Najaf. He emphasized that Iraq draws inspiration from Imam Ali’s life, learning lessons of patience and steadfastness amidst the country’s challenges. His principles of justice, equality, anti-corruption, human rights protection, and social peace are seen as a blueprint for building a state that upholds the rights of all citizens.



In closing, al-Atroushi expressed condolences on this sorrowful occasion to the Iraqi people and the broader Muslim community, praying for the protection of Iraq and its people from harm and evil.
