Baghdad: Deputy Speaker of Parliament Farhad Amin al-Atroushi extended his congratulations to Iraqi women, known for their humanitarian stances, illustrious history, and unwavering support for men during times of hardship and adversity.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a statement marking International Women's Day, al-Atroushi praised the struggle of Kurdish women and their support for the Peshmerga in the Kurdish liberation movement, as well as their resilience in the face of injustice and challenges under dictatorial regimes.

He stated that this important occasion provides an opportunity to honor women and celebrate their achievements and sacrifices, emphasizing the need to continue providing them with full support and expanding their participation in the political process and decision-making.
