Baghdad: The senior undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Hussein Al-Awadi, has underscored the necessity of continuing security operations through advanced and adaptable strategies.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Awadi emphasized this during a conference aimed at evaluating the performance of the Ministry’s Agency for Police Affairs, along with its affiliated units and police leadership. The conference was well-attended, with the Ministry’s undersecretaries, senior staff, directors general, and numerous officers participating.

The Ministry of Interior released a statement indicating that the conference included a thorough review of the Agency’s key achievements and activities over the past 100 days, focusing on crime prevention and the enhancement of security and stability. During his speech, Al-Awadi praised the efforts of the Agency for Police Affairs, led by legal expert Hadi Ruzaij, and stressed the importance of adopting security strategies that are both advanced and flexible to meet internal and regional security challenges.

Al-Awadi called for continuous field presence by security leaders, urging them to monitor events in real-time and respond efficiently. He emphasized the need to develop better field communication tools and improve coordination among security formations, which is crucial for enhancing service levels offered to citizens and reinforcing security and stability.

He also highlighted that performance evaluation is critical for identifying strengths, addressing weaknesses, and building on accomplishments, which will pave the way for more effective action plans in the future.
