Al-Baiji: Int’l Monitoring Of The Elections Will Enhance The World’s Confidence In It…But It Is Not A Substitute For The Monitoring Of The Iraqi Govt

Baghdad Independent MP Mansour Al-Baiji confirmed: “International monitoring of the Iraqi elections is very important and will enhance the confidence of the whole world in it, and its results will be welcomed and accepted by everyone.”

Al-Baiji said in a press statement: “International monitoring is welcomed by everyone, but it will not be a substitute for the control and attention of the Iraqi government, because it will be the first responsible for providing the necessary requirements for holding these elections on time and providing a safe environment for them, at all levels.”

He added, “This election will be pivotal and qualitative because it differs from its predecessors, by adopting a special law according to multiple constituencies, so its results will be very important in forming the next government that everyone looks forward to during the next stage.”

Al-Baiji added: “We hope that there will be a great participation by all the Iraqi people in order to choose competent representatives who can choose a strong government capable of achieving what previous governments could not achieve.”
