Al-Dahlaki Warns of the Dangers of Deteriorating Security in Kanaan District Following Terrorist Attacks

Diyala: Diyala MP Raad al-Dahlaki has raised alarms over the serious dangers posed by the noticeable deterioration in security within the Kanaan district. This concern follows a terrorist attack on al-Bid’ah village, where mortar shells were used, occurring just two days after an armed attack on a neighboring village.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Dahlaki emphasized that the recurrence of such security violations within a short span indicates a deliberate plan to disrupt stability. He expressed that this situation places the relevant authorities in a critical position, necessitating them to act decisively to prevent complacency that could lead to an uncontrollable security breakdown, ultimately jeopardizing the entire district’s safety.

The Head of the Azm Alliance in Diyala urged for immediate and comprehensive action, advocating for all branches of the security forces to adopt a proactive approach. He called for preemptive operations aimed at uncovering the circumstances surrounding the incidents, identifying the perpetrators, and ensuring they face justice. This, he argued, is essential to enforce the rule of law and safeguard the security of citizens in the district.
