Baghdad: The head of the Popular Mobilization Commission, Faleh al-Fayyadh, affirmed the Commission’s support for reconstruction efforts in the capital, Baghdad. A statement issued by the Commission media office stated that Faleh al-Fayyadh received the new governor of Baghdad, Atwan al-Atwani, in his office today and congratulated him on assuming his position, wishing him success in performing his duties.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Popular Mobilization Commission and the local government, particularly in supporting reconstruction efforts in the areas on the outskirts of the capital. Al-Fayyadh affirmed the Commission’s readiness to harness its capabilities and efforts, through the service and engineering effort team, to support construction and rehabilitation plans, noting the importance of the tangible achievements made in the reconstruction of deprived areas.
