Baghdad: The Head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, received the head of the Victory Coalition, Haider al-Abadi, this evening. They exchanged views on developments in the political scene in Iraq and the region, and the challenges and obligations facing Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, Al-Hakim emphasized the importance of the discourse of moderation and centrism adopted by the State Forces Alliance as its approach. He explained that this approach is capable of protecting Iraq from the pitfalls that the region is suffering from.

He called for supporting the state and strengthening its strength, as it is the primary guarantee of the rights of all citizens. Al-Hakim stressed the need to achieve electoral security and the importance of fair competition, far from smear campaigns and the exchange of accusations. He also called for an electoral practice that encourages the public to participate, stressing the importance of broad, effective, and aware participation in the upcoming elections.
