Baghdad: Head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, received Nouri al-Maliki, head of the State of Law Coalition, at his office this evening. They exchanged views on developments in the Iraqi political scene, particularly following the successful parliamentary elections and the high voter turnout.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, al-Hakim emphasized the importance of adhering to constitutional timelines for filling the three presidencies and forming the next government. He called for prioritizing the public interest over private interests, which would strengthen political stability and serve the aspirations of the Iraqi people.
Both sides also affirmed the unity of the coordination framework, considering it a fundamental pillar for maintaining political stability and supporting the democratic process in the country.
