Baghdad: Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Iraqi National State Forces Alliance, has extended his congratulations to Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei on his selection as Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Hakim expressed his sentiments in a statement where he also conveyed condolences to the Iranian people on the martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Al-Hakim's message included a prayer for Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei's success in his new role as leader.
