Al-Hakim Engages with Al-Dhari on Political Developments

Baghdad: Head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, recently held discussions with Sheikh Jamal al-Dhari, the Secretary-General of the Iraqi National Project, focusing on the latest political developments. The meeting took place at Al-Hakim's office where both leaders underscored the significance of rejecting inflammatory rhetoric and supporting the stability and progress achieved thus far.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Hakim emphasized the importance of maintaining stability across political, social, and security domains, attributing these achievements to the considerable sacrifices and the bloodshed by Iraqis in their fight against terrorism. He highlighted the necessity of setting aside divisive language to focus on the public good over private interests, especially in light of the forthcoming electoral process, encouraging competition to remain within political and service boundaries.

Further, Al-Hakim pointed out the critical nature of stabilizing Syria, given its proximity and shared interests with Iraq. He argued that Syria's stability is crucial for the broader region's tranquility, including Iraq. Additionally, he reiterated his appeal to the international community to halt Israeli assaults on Gaza, Syria, and Lebanon, urging efforts towards peace restoration and the return of displaced populations.
