Baghdad: Head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al Hakim, met with Elbrus Kutrashev, the Russian Ambassador to Baghdad, to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations between Iraq and Russia. The discussion included exchanging views on developments at both Iraqi and regional levels.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al Hakim reiterated his vision concerning Iraq’s political, security, and social stability, as well as its urban, service, and development progress. He emphasized the importance of achieving peace and stability in the region.

Al Hakim highlighted the significance of the upcoming elections, viewing them as foundational for sustainable stability in Iraq and crucial for consolidating democracy. He also underscored the need for economic reforms in Iraq, advocating for the diversification of income sources with a focus on industry, agriculture, tourism, investment, and technology.
