Baghdad: Ammar Al-Hakim, head of the National State Forces Alliance, convened with Osama Al-Nujaifi, Secretary-General of the United Party, and the party’s political bureau. During the meeting at Al-Hakim’s office, discussions centered around the political developments in Iraq and the broader region, with a particular focus on the evolving situation in Syria.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Hakim commended the government’s diplomatic approach towards regional issues, emphasizing the necessity of unified stances and strengthening national cohesion to address ongoing challenges. He underscored the significance of supporting governmental initiatives aimed at development and improved services, while highlighting the need for budget amendments that would enhance revenues and promote social justice.

Al-Hakim further urged all stakeholders to uphold the hard-won political, social, and security stability achieved through the sacrifices of Iraqis from various communities. He advocated for the activation of productive sectors to reduce Iraq’s dependency on oil prices, stressing the importance of prudent and moderate strategies to navigate surrounding challenges. Additionally, he called for heightened security readiness and preparedness from all security agencies.
