Al-Hakim renews his call for the management of diversity in Iraq and for the voluntary return of Christians

Baghdad / NINA / – The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, renewed his call for managing diversity in Iraq and for the voluntary return of Christians.

Al-Hakim exchanged with the delegation of the Chaldean League, during a meeting with them today, views on the reality of the components in Iraq, especially the Christian component, which he considered a qualitative addition to the Iraqi society and an integral part of the Iraqi bouquet of roses.

Al-Hakim renewed his call for the voluntary return of Iraqi Christians from all countries of the world to their country, stressing the importance of everyone’s contribution to building and rebuilding Iraq.

He stated: What Christians were subjected to was not an exception to what the rest of the components were subjected to, and that terrorism and extremism are not linked to a specific religion or group, but rather crooked human behavior and a wrong reading.

He renewed his call to manage diversity in Iraq, explaining that managing diversity means investing the Iraqi components as bridges of communication with the surroundings of Iraq and the countries of the world.

He indicated that it was the presence of Christians in Iraq that contributed to the historic visit of His Holiness the Pope to Iraq./ End
