Baghdad: The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, emphasized the importance of the upcoming elections in Iraq as a means to consolidate the political system and enhance stability in the country. He urged for a focus on addressing challenges from the perspective of the state, its leaders, and the national interest during a regular meeting of the National Wisdom Movement's Opinion Board.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Hakim highlighted the positive outcomes of hosting the Arab Summit in Baghdad, which he said provided Iraq with opportunities to engage within the Arab context amidst regional events and challenges. He noted that the summit presented a positive image of Iraq, showcasing service and urban developments and security stability in Baghdad and other governorates.

Al-Hakim stressed the significance of Iraq assuming the presidency of the Arab Summit for a year, underscoring the need to address challenges from a state perspective. He also pointed to the importance of dialogue between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States and its potential positive impact on the region, particularly Iraq.

Further, Al-Hakim underlined the importance of the upcoming elections, drawing parallels to the 2005 elections that established political governance in Iraq. He stated that the forthcoming elections could lay the foundation for consolidating political governance and enhancing long-term stability. He advocated for a moderate approach to strengthen the achieved stability and noted that the National Wisdom Movement's commitment to moderation has made it widely accepted both internally and externally.

Al-Hakim called for collective efforts in preparing for the elections, continued biometric updating of electoral cards, and encouraging broad, effective, and informed participation in the electoral process.
