Baghdad: Ammar al-Hakim, leader of the National State Forces Alliance, met with British Ambassador to Iraq Irfan Siddiq to discuss the enhancement of bilateral relations between Baghdad and London and address regional developments. The meeting aimed to explore avenues for strengthening ties in a way that benefits both nations while upholding Iraq's sovereignty.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Hakim's media office released a statement highlighting the discussions on improving relations and regional stability. Al-Hakim expressed his support for ongoing judicial and governmental anti-corruption efforts, emphasizing the need to focus on significant cases to rebuild public trust in the political process and state procedures, thereby safeguarding public resources.
Al-Hakim also underscored the importance of restoring regional stability, cautioning against rising tensions and advocating for dialogue as a means to resolve existing conflicts.
