Damascus: The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, called on the Syrian government to assume its responsibilities in protecting citizens from various components, religions, and sects.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Hakim expressed his sorrow over the terrorist attack targeting the Mar Elias Church in Damascus, which resulted in numerous casualties. In his statement, Al-Hakim condemned the attack and emphasized the need for the Syrian government to ensure the safety and protection of all citizens, regardless of their ethnic, religious, or sectarian affiliations.
