Baghdad: Parliament Speaker Heibat Al-Halbousi discussed, on Saturday, the activation of the role of parliamentary friendship committees with a delegation from the French Senate. The meeting was aimed at fostering stronger ties and enhancing cooperation between Iraq and France.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Parliament Speaker Heibat Al-Halbousi received a French Senate delegation led by Nicole Duranton, Chair of the French-Iraqi Parliamentary Friendship Committee. The discussions focused on bilateral relations and mechanisms for enhancing cooperation and coordination between the two legislative institutions.

The meeting addressed the activation of the role of parliamentary friendship committees, aiming to consolidate mutual ties and strengthen communication between the two nations. Additionally, the dialogue covered regional and international developments, alongside a number of topics of mutual interest.
