– Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi discussed with Chinese Ambassador Cui Wei the development of cooperation in the fields of oil and investment and a number of economic and service projects.

A statement by the Media Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives said: “Al-Halbousi received the Chinese ambassador, and the meeting discussed relations between the two countries, developing ways of cooperation in the fields of oil and investment, and a number of economic and service projects, especially building schools that meet the needs of Iraq, noting that the House of Representatives is supportive of strengthening cooperation between Iraq and China.

For his part, the Chinese ambassador stressed during the meeting his country’s desire to continue its support for Iraq and to enhance its capabilities, especially in the fields of oil and energy and everything that contributes to achieving development and prosperity
