Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi met today with a delegation from the State Forces Alliance bloc to discuss the importance of strengthening the oversight and legislative roles and supporting the work of parliamentary committees.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Speaker's media office stated that "Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi received a delegation from the State Forces Alliance bloc, headed by MP Ali Shaddad." The discussions revolved around various issues concerning Parliament's operations, emphasizing the need to enhance oversight and legislative roles as well as support the parliamentary committees to finalize priority legislation.

The statement further highlighted the emphasis on cooperation among parliamentary blocs to unify efforts within Parliament.
