Baghdad Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi stressed that the anniversary of Iraq’s independence calls for us to be inspired by the duty to defend Iraq’s sovereignty and lands.
He said in a tweet on Twitter: “On the third of October, we commemorate the independence of the Iraqi state and the beginning of the homeland’s march as an independent and sovereign country.”
He added: “From this day, we are inspired by the duty to defend its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.”
