Al-hassan: The Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mohammed Al-Hassan, has called for the preservation of women’s rights and their empowerment. In his address at the Islamic Conference on Combating Violence against Women, Al-Hassan emphasized the critical role women play in society.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Hassan stated, “I stand before you recommending and demanding the preservation of women’s rights and their empowerment.” He highlighted the foundational role women have in society, questioning the prevalence of domestic violence and the systematic marginalization they face. Al-Hassan urged attendees to return to fundamental principles and work collaboratively to achieve respect and protection for women.
