Karbala: The legal custodian of the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine, Mr. Ahmed al-Safi, recently welcomed the United Nations Special Representative for Iraq and Head of the UNAMI mission, Dr. Mohammed al-Hassan. The meeting took place as part of al-Hassan’s visit to the Holy Shrine, where he also had the honor of performing the pilgrimage to the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions between al-Safi and al-Hassan focused on various projects completed by the Holy Shrine. Dr. al-Hassan was briefed on these developments, and he expressed his hope that Iraq will overcome its ongoing issues, particularly concerning financial and administrative corruption.
